Thank you very much for your prayers in all our travels to the wedding of our oldest son Emik and Veronika. The wedding actually came in two stages. The ceremony was held in Veronika’s hometown of Shymkent, Kazakhstan, a four hour flight from Moscow. After a few days the bride and groom flew to Sacramento where we met them for a wedding reception with family and friends. We are praising God for providing everything for the wedding and for giving us the opportunity to be with our kids for a few weeks. We added some photos to our blog.
Now, we are back in Tambov. Bible studies resumed after summer and this year we have two groups in our home. We invite unbelievers to both groups, who come from different backgrounds, to learn about God from the Bible and through life experiences of the believers.
Last week brought a great opportunity to learn a new approach to discipleship from disciple makers, Pastor Don Beuge, and his mentor from Wisconsin, truck driver Randy. They provided training to several small churches in Tambov and Lipetsk, and to a Bible school. We learned that disciple-making takes a lot of time and effort, like it did for Jesus. If we are willing to put our life on the altar for our friends, God will be glorified, and His Kingdom will spread in Russia and to the ends of the earth. It starts with only one.
Our Mission, SEND International, is organizing a conference for its missionaries from Russia, to physically rest, recharge spiritually, and fellowship with each other. It will be in Thailand, like it was two years ago, from November 15 to 20. Alesya will take the opportunity to go earlier for a Women to Women training conference in Thailand. Please pray for our travels and that we will come back renewed and ready to press on for the Kingdom.
We recently added pictures to our blog of different ministries from last year. Sorry, we are learning but using it more consistently now. http://andrusyak.blogspot.ru/
Thank you very much for partnering with us on God’s field. May He richly bless you.
