Life Groups

From the very inception of the church to today, believers have been gathering together in homes to share the good news, encourage and pray for one another, study the scriptures, serve their communities, and worship the Lord. When people are connected to others in an authentic and transparent environment, they are more likely to share what is going on in their lives, and allow others to hold them accountable. They are also less likely to drift away from God during difficult times because they have a tangible expression of the body of Christ surrounding and caring for them.

The purpose of our life groups is for the members to grow in their love for God and their love for others. In other words, applying to our lives what we're learning about Jesus. This is spiritual maturity. Focusing on cultivating gospel-centered relationships in the group is just as important as focusing on the topic being studied. Because of the relational focus we are constantly exploring, questioning, and wrestling with new and creative ways to live out and communicate the teachings of Jesus.

With the perspective that faith is a journey with others, change is assumed, innovation is expected, and rebirth is welcomed. Our goal is to find the delicate balance between learning and living out the Jesus life. Learning is good, but it happens best in community and then is experienced in daily life. This is the heart of CFCC's Life Group Ministry!

Our Life Groups last 10-12 weeks and are divided into sessions: Spring, Summer and Fall. There are a variety of times, topics, and teachers to choose from.
